Species diversity

Protect and sustain the diverse community of indigenous fish species not specifically mentioned earlier (burbot, minnows, yellow perch, northern pike, and suckers).

While no formal Lake Superior indicators are established for the Species Diversity FCO, Lake Superior does continue to maintain remarkable diversity in nearshore and offshore areas, continues to support the four recognized lake trout forms, and has retained most of its original cisco fauna.
